Above are some of my photos from our time in Bolivia (July 8th to 16th).  These were taken in Tupiza, Salar de Uyuni (the salt flats), and Lake Titicaca. Out of the three countries we visited, Bolivia was probably the least developed but it was definitely the most breathtaking in terms of its landscape.

I do not have too many food photos because unfortunately we both got really sick. I think I drank from a water bottle that had been refilled with tap water and then was recapped--that is apparently a problem there. Because of our tender tummies, our diets consisted mainly of plain crackers and (out of date) cola...mmmmm.

It felt like most of the restaurants we saw in Bolivia were catering to presumed tourist tastes. The majority served pizza and pasta so we had a lot of that when we were feeling better. The best pizza we had was in Uyuni at a place called Minute Man Pizza which is run by a guy from Boston. When we were in Lake Titicaca, the local speciality was trucha (trout), which was such a nice change.  We also spent one day in the capital, La Paz (I didn't take any pictures).  It seemed like there was a variety of interesting places to dine at and it would have been nice to have had more time to explore those.
